The Red Collection
Interview with Emilie Fenst, Co-Founder and Creative Director
The colour red continues season after season. Why?
Red has this timeless quality. Think of red nails and red lips, they always come back in fashion. In our collections, which are always quite minimal and have a base of core colours like black, grey and brown, red works as a beautiful contrast. It adds life without feeling loud. I think that’s why it keeps returning season after season, red has a timeless elegance which complements simplicity.
What’s important when producing cashmere knits in red, and how did you choose this specific red tone?
From a design point of view, it’s about finding the right balance. The red has to feel rich but still soft enough to work within a minimal palette. It cannot be too orange or too dark red; we focus on a cool tone that enhances the natural texture of the cashmere without overpowering it. A red that is timeless and true to our aesthetic.

In The Detail
Interview with Maaike Riemens, Art Director, who brought the red visuals to life / Collages by @maaikeriemens
When looking at your personal Instagram profile, it consists of many collages and folded papers. How did that start becoming your thing, and what does your collage process look like?
A few years ago, I was asked to create collages for Vogue using archive editorials. After it was published, I received such kind responses that I began collaborating with brands to create new images and tell stories through visual journals and collages. For me, working on artworks feels very free and intuitive. I love the imperfect moments, when the printer ink is almost gone or when two images accidentally overlap in a way that creates something new. As an art director, my role is often about storytelling and working together with a team toward a shared visual language. I love the energy of that collaboration. But when I work on collages, it’s just me, music, and my thoughts, a space where I can play, explore, and create freely. I’ve always loved paper, stationery, and books. Collecting special papers, especially from Japan, makes me genuinely happy. In a time that’s so digital, surrounding myself with paper feels grounding and comforting.
As the creative behind our online exclusive campaign in Red, what are your thoughts on this campaign?
For me, a wonderful collaboration always begins with a brand that has a great team and a genuine story. I’ve always loved cashmere; it already sets a mood through its softness and timeless quality. What I love about this campaign is its simplicity. It shows the process behind the images, and it’s not too polished, a little more real, which I find beautiful. When the product itself is strong, you don’t need too many extras to create a story.
The colour red. What pops into your mind?
When I think of red, I think of love and passion, two things that are very important to me. Love is about kindness and care for one another; passion is the drive to create something beautiful. Both are essential in life and in my work.
