Where did you stay?
We stayed at Ett Hem. A hotel I had been dreaming of visiting for years and now the time felt right. Staying at the hotel during December turned out to be the best choice.
Ett Hem doesn’t feel like a hotel but more like a home as the name says. It’s for sure a luxury place to stay, in a casual way. Everything is well thought through down to the smallest detail. The interior design is reminiscent of a home - designed by Ilse Crawford - one of my favourite interior designers. There is no lobby, only different living rooms with honesty bars and lots of books. In the two open kitchens, you don’t order from a menu card, you talk with the chef about what you would like to eat. And then you will be served the most amazing food by the friendly and casual staff.
Usually, I wouldn’t let the hotel be the centre of my trip, but with Ett Hem, it was. I can’t imagine a better hotel and I felt so inspired and relaxed.
We asked Maja a few questions about her Swedish trip.
Best thing about Stockholm?
I always feel inspired when travelling to Stockholm. It is not far away from Copenhagen, but it feels new and refreshing. I have visited Stockholm a few times now and I think the city offers many good places to eat, stores, and galleries to visit.
