Could you share a bit about PWR.8 Studio — its concept, how long it's been around, where it's located, and any unique features like a concept boutique?
PWR.8 Studio is an open-minded training oasis dedicated to bringing empowerment, strength, and joy to people’s lives - having been both a health and training studio for almost ten years now. Our studio was created to focus on the body as a whole with the mission to “Create a happier you”. Our ambition is to inspire our members to take responsibility for their bodies and support them to do what it takes to feel healthy whilst having fun. We aim to ensure our members are happy when they walk through our doors. And happier – and perhaps a little short of breath – every time we say goodbye.
In addition to our classes and concepts, we also wanted to facilitate a space for people to retreat and recharge in a world where we are constantly bombarded with new information and in an era where time has become our most important resource. Prioritizing mindfulness is perhaps one of the best things we can do for our bodies and minds which has become the foundation for our PWR.8 Retreats where we inspire to take a break surrounded by the most beautiful nature.
Further, we believe that training and movement should be supported by various elements in our lives. Therefore, we decided to create a curated shop in our beautiful studio lounge on the Danish harbour of Østerbro. Here, our members can find specially curated products before and after training or at any time of the day.
What's your go-to outfit for a typical workday?
Layers. Of course, I always run around in athleisure wear layered with a PRC cashmere jumper to keep me warm on chilly days.
What kind of training/classes are your favourite?
A mix of different classes as I believe that the best way to maintain a healthy and strong body is by practicing different and various forms of training concepts. I especially enjoy Reformer Pilates and Bodybalance.
What does living a healthy life mean to you?
Balance is key for me. Primarily based on important pillars in my life such as sleep, food, movement, breathing, exploring, spending time with the people I love and surrounding myself with inspiring people.
The simplest way to improve health:
Sleep. I cherish my sleep so much. It’s one of the most important elements in my life and the best way of nurturing and supporting my everyday health.
Cannot live without:
Our cat, Elio. He is adorable and brings me tranquillity in an otherwise busy lifestyle.
Current mantra:
Creating a happier me.
